Italian Beef Sliders

            Italian Beef Sliders

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours 10 minutes

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/3 cup Italian dressing 
  • 4 slices of Provolone cheese 
  • Banana peppers, sliced 
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese 

For the Roast Beef:

  • 4-5 lb Nolan Ryan Beef Chuck Roast
  • 3 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves of garlic 
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your slow cooker to low heat. 
  2. Puncture your chuck roast on all sides with a knife or fork. 
  3. Whisk together Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Season the chuck roast with the mixture evenly. 
  4. Place 1/2 of the onion at the bottom of the slow cooker, followed by the roast, the garlic, and the other half of the onion.  
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until beef is easily shredded. 
  6. Transfer the roast to a cutting board and shred the roast with two forks. 
  7. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. 
  8. Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish. Brush with Italian dressing. 
  9. Spread the beef evenly over top of the buns. Top with banana peppers and cheese slices. 
  10. Place the other half of the buns on top, brush with Italian dressing and sprinkle with Parmesan. 
  11. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted and buns are toasty and enjoy!
