In order to achieve these goals, Nolan Ryan Beef® is very thorough in identifying and selecting our supplier partners. We only work with industry leaders who run a clean and safe workplace and utilize state-of-the-art technology and innovation.
Nolan Ryan Beef® requires all of our production partner’s facilities to be USDA inspected and certified through the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). GFSI is an international food safety benchmark standard that each facility is audited against annually. In addition to the annual GFSI audits, Nolan Ryan Beef® conducts its own food safety and quality audits of each facility on a frequent basis. All suppliers are required to comply with federal guidelines which includes utilizing certified third party laboratories to conduct potential pathogen testing before products are allowed to be further processed and moved into distribution and commerce.
Retail & Foodservice Partners:
Proper food safety, product handling, and overall beef education are key initiatives here at Nolan Ryan Beef®. To ensure we’re moving these initiatives forward, our team has worked alongside Beef Loving Texans® and world renowned professors at Texas A&M Agrilife Extension to create various Beef Boot Camps targeted to better educate our retail and foodservice partners. Each year, we conduct specialized trainings throughout the state to expand the knowledge and confidence of our partners and invest in their future success. We also provide accurate labeling with all safe handling, nutrition, allergen, and ingredient information to our customers.
