Blackened Rib-Eye Steak Sandwiches

Preheat the grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grill grates.

Season the steaks with the cajun seasoning, salt and pepper.

Grill the steaks (in batches, if necessary) for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare.

Remove the steaks from the grill and transfer to a cutting board; let the meat rest for 5 minutes.

Place the bread on the still-warm grill until golden brown.

Cut the steaks diagonally across the grain into thin strips.

Construct each sandwich with the steak on the bottom slice of bread, topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and avocado.  Spread some dressing on the top slice of bread before closing it.
